Admittedly, we don't go down to Topeka to Grandma & Grandpa's house nearly as much as they make the drive to us. I guess we blame it on "traveling" with two kids and the fact that Hen will need an afternoon nap and doesn't have crib there. They also don't have the plethora of toys there that they have at home. But, who needs toys when you have a tractor??
Now, this goes against every fiber of my being. As a pediatric nurse, I've seen some horrible things that all started with a riding lawnmower. But Grandpa assured me the blades were not engaged. He was not, however, able to assure me that there were seatbelts on board. Of course, the ride on the tractor won out and off they went. Jack had a blast riding up and down the street "driving" the tractor. I can see this being a favorite past-time for sure!
When it was time to leave, we told Jack to give everyone a kiss. For some reason, he thought that meant Henry, too. Made for a cute picture, anyway! So after all the proper hugs and kisses, we hit the road. We decided to take the back roads home and what should we find?? This little creature....!! So, of course we brought it home!! What's one more pet, right??
