Jack loves Deanna Rose. On this particular day, we went on the outing with Jack's friends Evan and Tyler. They had fun taking in all DR has to offer. Jack usually bypasses the children's garden area, opting for the animals instead. But in a rare moment of cooperation, I was able to snag this pic of him posing as a potted plant!
He had a lot of fun running all around with the boys but I think his new favorite 'attraction' at the farm is the little splash area where they can run around and get their feet wet. Henry loves this too. Anything related to water is always a hit with Hank. Henry was happy to just sit on the edge and splash with his hands and feet. Jack, of course, ran around like a crazy man.
But after splashing around, we headed for the play equipment. Jack wore himself out climbing and sliding and then head to the sand pit to play on the diggers. A bigger kid came along and literally nudged him off his digger and took it from him! He didn't get angry at the kid, just looked at him as if he were thinking "you JERK!!" (or something worse...), then marched over to the log cabin and sulked in the corner. I tried to ask him what was wrong but he just replied in his typical manner: "Just leave me alone, Mommy. I'n ANGRY!!" I think he look on his face is priceless. I was proud of the way he handled the situation, though. No yelling, hitting, or name-calling. Now we just have to work on not being such a sour puss!! So much for a pleasant day . . .
