First Day of "School"

So Hank's first day of daycare was actually Jack's second birthday. His b-day fell on a Tuesday, which I took as my last day of maternity leave. I arranged to send Henry to daycare so that Jack could have a special day with just Mommy and Daddy for his b-day. We took him to Chuck E. Cheese's where he had fun riding his favorite 'bus' ride over and over again! Henry did great; Kay, his new sitter, said he did just fine and they warmed up to each other well. It was a good transition for Mommy, too, as I could pick him up early, and I wasn't experiencing the jitters of first day back to work AND first day with baby at daycare. I wondered how Jack would transition to having Henry at daycare with him after that. Jack had been going to daycare 2 days each week while I was on leave, 1. to give me some sanity and some time alone to bond with Henry, and 2. to give him some sanity and keep him in a routine. He did great, though, playing big brother at daycare...Jack has just accepted Hank so well. He almost acts like Hank has always been with him. So far it's a loving relationship; I hope this lasts.

(P.S. I'm not entirely sure what Henry is doing in this photo...perhaps working on a 'download' of sorts...something he's EXTREMELY good at)
