In May, Mommy was a bridesmaid in a good friend, Shannon's wedding. I had to go down to Topeka early in the morning to get ready and for pictures. Henry stayed home with Grandma & Grandpa D, and Jack came to the wedding with Daddy. Of course Jack fell asleep while they drove around killing time before the wedding. So when Mommy walked down the aisle, there was a very sleepy/grumpy looking boy sitting on Daddy's lap. When the wedding was over, it was time for the reception!! Party time!! This did not help...Jack kept that sour-puss look on his face no matter what. We placed him at the kid's table. You would think that would cheer him up--sitting with his friends Korie and Caymon. Nope...sour-puss. Not even the coloring books and bubbles at the table cheered him up!
Then Caymon's mommy, Stacey had an idea. She grabbed him a piece of cheesecake off the cake table, and ... Wa-LA! Instant mood enhancer! From that point on he perked right up and played with his friends. It was a good thing he looked so handsome in his khakis and navy blazer to make up for all that initial grumpiness!
