This spring, Jack embarked on a new adventure: joining a soccer team!! It started out a little shakey; a lot shakey, really. His first practice he was clingy and stood there like a veal while everyone else played around him. He would not participate to save his life. Mom and Dad got frustrated and we ended up leaving the practice after about 30 minutes. Neither of us wanted to stand around and watch him NOT participate. So, the following week he decided he wanted to give it another shot. Once he jumped in there and tried some of the drills, he found out he was pretty good at it and decided it was pretty fun. The "season" consists of a month of weekly hour-long practices followed up by two additional weeks of weekly games. It should be interesting to see him grow and explore this new arena in life!
