In addition to Jack being a picky eater, he's also a challenge these days when it comes to sleep. Jack does not seem to think that he needs a nap any more. He takes one at preschool, although I'm not sure how much he actually sleeps during nap-time...who knows!
But on "Mommy Days" he always pushes for "quiet time with a movie" instead of a real nap and one of the following tends to happen during that time. Well, maybe a quarter or a third of the time he'll fall asleep. The other times he just goofs around, never gets any sleep, and is grumpy the rest of the night. The bed-time routine has gotten to be more of a challenge as well. He was always so good about going to bed without a fuss, but it was too good to be true and now he fights it.
We've started a star-chart, though, with the promise of a prize when he fills it up. So, he's doing much better. We'll see how long it lasts (And, no, I'm not against bribery!! If it works, I'll take it!)
