We by no means brought down the house in any fancy way on New Years Eve, but we had a fun time just as a family...just the way it should be. The boys and I had stopped at Walmart earlier in the day and found some party hats and streamers. During our 45-minute wait in line to check out, Jack discovered a can of silly string, which we decided would round out our party supplies for the evening. We had our own little celebration about 7 o'clock that evening with all those streamers, hats, noisemakers and silly string. Jack had a blast, although he wasn't sure he liked the silly string because it was kind of messy (you know, he's just like his daddy--can't appreciate a good mess). I really think he had just as good a time cleaning up as he did making the mess. Henry just sat in his swing taking it all in. All-in-all, a decent New Year's Eve in our household...
